I’ve got to assume that everyone who has seen pictures of the Venus transit are obsessively picturing it getting too close to the sun and exploding, causing planet shrapnel (“planet shrapnel”??) to hurtle across the galaxy and into Earth’s atmosphere at which point we all die horribly and unexpectedly or maybe it’s just that not enough time has passed since I watched...
